from the naval base to dart

DART's story began over twenty years ago in the Irish Defence Forces. Noel and Brian first met at the Irish Naval Base in 2005 while serving their country. As their military careers progressed, both successfully completed the rigorous Army Ranger Wing selection process and went on to serve together in some of the most challenging and demanding environments imaginable.

Working side by side, they trained extensively in specialist operational disciplines and deployed overseas together, serving as Close Protection Operators for United Nations Deputy Force and Force Commanders. These experiences built not only professional expertise but a friendship and trust that could only be forged through years of teamwork, shared challenge and mutual respect.

Between them, Noel and Brian bring over four decades of military experience, including more than twenty years operating at Tier 1 Special Forces level, where preparation, awareness, communication and professionalism are essential to success.

Following their military careers, both went on to establish and manage successful businesses of their own. Their shared background kept bringing them together at industry events and professional engagements, and it soon became clear that their combined experience, values and vision could offer something unique. From that shared vision, DART was born.

Today DART delivers tactical, medical, close protection and safety training to organisations across Ireland, built on that same standard.
